Nursing scrub means the different types of equipment used in the medical institutions. This article aims at providing a one-window stop for any person wishing to find anything about nursing scrub. Significantly, even the web does not have a proper answer to the queries pertaining to nursing scrub.

A nursing scrub is a vital means to bring in hygiene in the hospitals. Nursing scrub is used for disinfecting purposes either before or after any operation process. The term nursing scrub is a combination of two terms, viz., nurse and scrub. Hence, it would be pertinent to first know the various meanings of these two terms. It would also be helpful to also trace the roots of these two terms.

MERCANTILE VALUE OF NURSING SCRUBS

In the recent times, various companies have come up to manufacture, and market the nursing scrubs. Taking into consideration the immense potential market for nursing scrubs and its never saturating prospect, nursing scrub manufacturing and marketing have combined to form a viable industry.

SURFING FOR NURSING SCRUBS

When one surfs the internet for the nursing scrubs, one will definitely get the feel of the huge mercantile impact of this ancillary medical sector. Be it the quality or the material or the price, one would have to patiently log on to the different sites dealing with nursing scrubs to get the best among them. Of course, patience will ultimately pay off. You would ultimately lay your hands on the reasonably priced quality nursing scrubs.

DIFFERENT TYPES OF NURSING SCRUB

Nursing scrubs vary in shape, size, color and material. Nursing scrub can be a simple safety pin and can also be a pair of scissors or a pair of gloves for that matter. The only connecting links among these various nursing scrubs are that they are sterilized and ready to use.

WHERE TO FIND NURSING SCRUB

The internet is the ideal place to find for answers to immense queries of mankind. However, with reference to nursing scrub, the different sites provide very limited scope. One can, of course, find the lists of various sites selling with the nursing scrubs or their prices. But then, one has to keep on constantly move form one site to another to seek the apt answer. This becomes rather tedious and cumbersome. Nonetheless, the internet can definitely give you the best one-stop window to select the best nursing scrubs.

EASY STEPS TO SELECT THE BEST NURSING SCRUB OUTLET

Here are 10 easy steps to clinch an ideal deal with an online nursing scrub outlet.

First, make a list of the types of the nursing scrubs you require.

Second, select the ideal materials for the nursing scrubs.

Third, chalk out the appropriate colors or the combination of colors.

Fourth, finalize the customization you would opt for. While deciding on the above factors, ensure that the designs are not too extravagant. The outlook should be that the nursing scrub is comfortable to the user and also psychologically soothing to all.

Fifth, spend some time cross-checking the many websites that offer the world with reference to the nursing scrub.

Sixth, shortlist those websites that have less gestation periods while delivering the consignments. Obviously, you cannot wait for ages waiting for the nursing scrubs to reach your doorstep.

Seventh, see that you are not taken for a ride. Talk out the possibilities of having a long-term business tie-up with the nursing scrub marketing company.

Eighth, delve deep into the intricacies of the business (especially if it is foreign company) and find out if you would be a gainer by ordering the consignments directly from the manufacturing unit instead of the marketing wing. In this way, you will be able to cut down on the commission cost that is inevitably deducted from the customer. Doubly check out the ancillary or hidden costs that may later turn out to be sources of headache for you.

Ninth, insist on an undertaking from the company to bear the excess costs that may be emanating consequent upon any delay in the delivery process. It always pays to be cautious prior to the closing of the transaction. If the deal can be via the VPP process, it would be ideal for you. Under this arrangement, you will have to pay the money after the consignments arrive at your office.

Last but not the least, leave some spaces for exigencies. Let the dealer know that the customization may have to be changed subsequently. Go for the deal only if the other party agrees to such a later possibility.

Happy nursing scrub deal!

Spring 2008 Wardrobe Revamp

March 14th, 2008

With the new year, it is time for a new image. Time to streamline your wardrobe so that everything fits and flatters you perfectly. Make those I-have-nothing-to-wear days history. Pare down your wardrobe ruthlessly and throw out anything that does not make you look amazing.

Set aside a day, or two to try on every item of clothing you own.

Does it look good on you?

Yes? Keep it.

Maybe? Throw it out.

No? Throw it out too.

Okay, you need not throw them into a bin. You could give them away to someone who might appreciate it more all sell them to a second hand store.

Take stock of what you have left? You would probably be left with very few items if you have gone through your wardrobe thoroughly, with a critical eye.

Before you shop for the latest Spring/summer styles, stop. You do not want to fill your wardrobe with more clothes that do not flatter you. What looks great on your best pal could very well look awful on you.

Spring/Summer 2008 fashion is elegant. From simple cuts to tiered dresses. Colors range from black, white (classics every season) to tan to mint green and pink and purple. No must wear color or must wear shape or strict skirt length. The only rule is to wear something that makes you look fabulous and that is the attitude you should take when revamping your wardrobe.

Study the clothes you are keeping. The ones that make you look great. Does any particular color dominate?

Speaking about color, do you know which colors really flatter you?

The right colors make a world of difference. A simple dress in your color can make you look radiant, but the exact same dress in a different color that clashes with your skin tone could make you look sickly. Choose your colors carefully.

Do you look better in cool colors or warm colors? If there already is a particular color, like electric blue or gold or peach that makes you look particularly wonderful, make that the basic color in your wardrobe and get at least a skirt, a pair of pants, a top and a dress in that shade. Then search for other colors that complement your chosen color and which make you look amazing.

When you buy clothing, do not look at the size alone. Size is but a number, conjured up according to the whims of the fashion houses. You don’t have to be a size zero to look gorgeous. You do have to wear clothes that fit your actual size and which flatter your figure type if you want to look your best.

Measure the widest part of your hip and the largest part of your bustline. Are your hips larger than your bust or is your bustline larger than your hips?

If your hips are larger, you are bottom heavy or pear shaped.

If both are about the same, plus minus an inch, you have an hourglass figure.

If your bust is larger than your hips than you are top heavy.

This fact alone determines what types of outfits you should go for if you want to look your very best.

If you are bottom heavy, you can get away with padded jackets. Printed tops, frills on the top and any details that draw attention to the top half of your body is desirable. You might want to wear something dark a plain to visually shrink your hips. Bubble skirts, pleated skirt or anything that draws attention to your hips would only make them bigger and make you look disproportionate.

If you are top heavy, you can wear any type of pants. You can even get away with a full skirt or pleated one. By the way, many models are top heavy, so yours is a very desirable figure type. Then again watch what you wear on top. If your bust is big, you could wear plunging necklines or clothes that show off your cleavage so you would look sexy and not fat.

What are your colors describes the steps you can take to tell which family of colors suit you best. Stick within that family and you should be fine.

If you have an hourglass figure, you’ve got the ideal figure and can get away with most outfits.

How Women Can Have It All

March 5th, 2008

I was sitting down one day not sure whether to make dinner, phone the children, do the washing, prepare notes for work or maybe even wash my hair. I started to wonder how many other women were feeling the same way; not having enough hours in the day, and having to divide themselves up into lots of different roles. There is the role of the daughter, the wife, the mother, the grandmother, as well as having a career. How do I compare with other women, do we all feel the same? Do we enjoy the numerous roles we have to juggle? or are we living in a robot state of mind where we just operate on auto pilot with ourselves being the last one in line for TLC?

The fast pace and pressure of today’s life is becoming a huge burden on women, so I carried out a survey to discover just how women really felt about themselves and their role in today’s world. Thirty three women were questioned, 75% lived with a partner, 70% had children and all the women were working.

The results show that the women were constantly struggling to please everyone in their lives, juggling their work life with their family life, leaving no time for themselves. Nearly half of the women questioned felt that they did not spend enough time on themselves. With half admitting they spent either no time on themselves each day or only up to two hours per day of ‘me time’. One woman confessed that on most nights she was ‘just too tired’ to spend time on herself.

The majority of the women questioned believed work got in the way of their responsibilities, and 20% admitted that if they could change anything in their lives it would be their work life balance. Research shows that today there are almost as many women working as men, but women seemed to be plagued with guilt for neglecting one thing or another. Even in a society where shopping and banking can be done on line and women are equip with time saving appliances, women are constantly feeling the pressures. Most of the women felt that women do have it easier today compared to previous generations ‘ I think as women we have it pretty good right now more choices…however there are a lot more expectations on women…they feel the need to be ’superwoman”

When asked about their position in the family in terms of being equally responsible in the welfare of their grandchildren compared with responsibility of the welfare of their own parents, nearly a third of all women found this to be the most difficult challenge. Experts have coined the phrase the ’sandwich generation’ , where today’s women are sandwiched between the ‘needs of their growing children and the needs of their aging parents’ However, could these stresses and pressures women feel actually help them in the long term? According to the latest medical research ‘juggling work and family keeps you healthier’ A study carried out in America concluded that holding down a job and being in the home can keep women healthier and in better shape over the long term compared to women who stay at home. Lead researcher in the study Dr Anne McMunn said the study proved ‘women could have it all’ and that while it may be stressful for them at the time, their long term health is better when they have a combination of roles.

So there was my answer even the experts are saying that we are positively healthier when we succumb to all the different roles imposed upon us. So there we have it, its never going to change, yes us women are feeling more powerful and respected in the work place but we will always have to combine that success with being the mother, wife and grandmother- proving that we can have it all. Anything is possible if you want it badly enough.

An Inside Look at a NBA Draft Workout

March 1st, 2008

In August I had the pleasure of spending an afternoon with Adam Haluska, the Big Ten’s leading scorer from last season. Drafted in the second round by the New Orleans Hornets, Adam shared with me some insight into what the pre draft workouts were like.

In hearing him describe the drills and focus of each workout, I reflected on the fundamentals of the game that 6, 8, and 10 years olds are missing out on. If it’s good enough for the NBA and the best players in the world, it surely needs to be a staple in youth basketball in every gym in America.

Adam worked out in for clubs such as New Orleans, Phoenix, and Dallas.

The drills revolved around offense and included:

1. One-on-one competition. All positions and sizes competed together, playing from the wings and the top of the key.

2. Moves off the dribble. Moves such as the crossover, hesitation, double crossover, and the step back move were used.

3. 2-on-2. Can you imagine 2 highly prized draft picks joining together for a game of 2-on-2. This is what I would like to see in every school yard across the country. 2-on-2 and 3-on-3 are great ways to play and learn the game correctly. There must be something to it if NBA General Managers and coaches stand around and watch four guys play two-on-two for a half hour, huh?

4. Shooting. Tons of shooting drills were part of each workout. Shooting open three’s, shooting off the dribble, pull up jumpers, shooting off screens, and shooting with the aid of a dribble move such as the crossover or step back. These drills are competitive, so the pressure is on the player to make shots. One big focus for all clubs is to draft guys that can make shots, and make them consistently.

When asked if any of the drills or techniques taught were new or complicated to him, he said no. In fact each drill was very fundamental in nature. When he played in the Los Angeles NBA summer league, the Hornets staff put them through some rigorous drills and conditioning. The drill and teaching segments of practice during this two month period were very simple and fundamentally based.

It was refreshing to know that the basics of the game are being taught to the great players and draft picks in NBA camps. Somehow over the years we got it backwards! Youth basketball, especially those that coach youth basketball need to pay attention to the message in this post and re-examine their philosophy and emphasis or lack of emphasis on the key elements of the game that are still highly treasured at the game’s highest level, the NBA.
