Success Depends on Individual Attributes

February 28th, 2008

Concerns

Individuals often wonder why they are not financially well off. They believe that they have done everything needed to do, but still they are not close to doing well. The first problem lies in identifying why it is so. Some call it societal discrimination, some call it lack of networking, and some say that nepotism is not on their side. They probably think they can ride on someone’s name. Unfortunately, dwelling on irrelevant conspiracy is a reason for failure. It is always good to network and know someone who knows someone in order to have a favor done to us, but the most guaranteed approach is to be in control of your life. The rest will fall in place as soon as one is in control of its life and destiny.

Most of the ingredients to successful life are in us, and it is up to us to apply them where and when applicable. Knowing what we can and cannot do is essential in guiding our future. Employers do not hire individuals because they like them, they hire them because they know that they can do the job. They look for individuals, who can come in and tell them what they do not know. Employers are not willing to pay anyone to come in and tell them what they already know. They only hire individuals as part of their resources in order to produce and sell goods and services, and increase their market share in order to increase their profits. The problem is that an applicant has to fit the mole being sought by the employer. They want individuals of compelling appeal to their consumers. They are looking for those who will attract and keep their customers, those who are creative, and those with aggressive and conceptual abilities. Some people will say that they have MBA and still don’t have a job. The question is; does one have what it takes to get that dream job. College degree does not get anyone a job; it is a piece of paper. The bulk of the requirement is individual’s attributes. The characteristics of a job applicant play a great role in the job search.

Barriers

An individual, who is confused, may find it difficult to know what he/she wants. For a successful pursuit of a career, individual should: (1) Know what he/she wants and embark on it, (2) eliminate procrastination, (3) avoid indecision (4) stop taking one step forward and two steps backwards, (5) choose a profession, close on it and pursue it (6) do not juggle too many things at the same time, e.g. work, school and family (7) associate yourself with a mentor you look up to (8) Avoid blaming others for your mistakes, (9) avoid stubbornness and learn to take advice, (10) avoid the approach of it’s my way or the high way, (11) Learn to use time management technique, (12) learn to be organized and (13) stop defensive reasons why you are failing.

If someone’s several years approach did not get him/her anywhere, then it is time one listens to someone else’s ideas, and follow the approach. Time waits for no one. Dragging one’s feet on what ought to be done is time consuming and cost money. Hence, the sooner an individual decides on what steps to take, the better for the individual. When in a jam, the best thing to do is to contact a professional trainer and coach in order to seek advice.

Attributes

Here are some attributes to think about: Is applicant (a) creative, (b) aggressive (c) outgoing (d) extrovert (e) objective (f) multitasking (g) initiative (h) communication skills (i) leadership and managerial skills (j) sales and marketing skills (k) risk taker (l) high self-esteem (m) friendly (n) problem solver (o) critical thinker (p) self-starter, (q) trainable, and (r) detail-oriented (s) cool headed and calculated

These things are in us and learning how to apply them will require professional training and coaching in order to successfully land that dream job that will catapult to financial freedom.

Coach Legacy Ostrich Multi Turnlock Satchel Review

February 16th, 2008

We all know that Coach make some of the most stunning bags out there today. And the new Legacy Ostrich Multi Turnlock Satchel is no exception and must rate as one of the years most desirable products. It is a perfect mixture of polished sophistication and high style. This drop dead gorgeous ostrich satchel is very versatile and would suit any number of purposes. It comes in three colors Brass Pool, Brass Tan and Brass Silver. My own favourite being Brass Pool, a beautiful shade of turquoisey blue guaranteed to get you many admiring glances. In fact it is such a stunning bag you could probably charge your girlfriends every time they touch it and boy will they want to touch it.!

As all good bags should it has any number of pockets. You get an inside zip pocket, a cell phone/multi-function pocket; outside open front pocket under tab with turnlock closure; an outside back pocket with zip closure and a double zip-top closure and tab with turnlock closure

The bag is no shrinking violet either being some 12.5 inches long, 8.5 inches high and 6 inches wide. That means its easily big enough for the most discerning of girls to carry all her essentials with her and still have room leftover.

So all in all a stunning creation of chic style making it this seasons bag to die for. With all this style are there any disadvantages? Well, unfortunately, yes. The Coach Legacy Ostrich Multi Turnlock Satchel retails at a whopping $4,800 so it should be a big hit with the A crowd and the rest of us will just have to save our pennies.

Football – The Denver Broncos

February 7th, 2008

Located in the mile high city of Denver, CO, the Denver spa are one of the NFL’s most successful football franchises. They began play in 1960 as an original member of the old AFL and became part of the NFL when the two leagues merged. This storied football team is a member of the AFC Western Division and has been a part of 6 Super Bowls during this time, winning 2 of them. Let’s take a brief look at the history of the Denver Broncos football team.

Success wasn’t always with the Broncos. During their first 13 years, the team never had a winning record. Then beginning in the late 70s this football team began a run of Super Bowl appearances. Although their first 4 Super Bowls resulted in lopsided defeats, they were able to win back-to-back Super Bowls in 1997 and 98. The team continues to this cosmetics to be among the NFL’s elite.

Playing their football games in Mile High Stadium, the team had a distinct home field advantage. Mile High Stadium was the loudest stadium in all of football with good reason. The flooring was made of steel instead of concrete. The sound was deafening to opposing players and coaches. And with their nicknamed “Orange Crush” defense, it’s little wonder why this team was so dominant. Mile High Stadium lasted from 1960 until 2000 and was then replaced by the new Invesco Field at Mile High.

Although Denver had begin to experience a little success in the late 70s, it wasn’t until 1983 when they truly became a powerful organization with the arrival of the great John Elway at quarterback. Under his leadership the team went on to 5 Super Bowls. As talented as John Elway was in football, he was also drafted at the same time by the New York Yankees to play baseball. John made the decision to stick with football and the rest is history.

Hall of Fame

The Broncos have only 3 football Hall of Fame players. The first one was Willie Brown, who played with the team from 1963-66 at CB. Next is Tony Dorsett, who played his only season with the team in 1988. Finally, there is John Elway, who played from 1983-1998.

Other very good football players for the Broncos over the years include: Gene Mingo (the first African-American kicker in the NFL in 1960) Floyd Little Lionel Taylor Rich Jackson Charley Johnson Frank Tripucka Paul Smith Billy Thompson Craig Morton Jim Turner Haven Moses Tom Jackson Randy Gradishar Louis Wright Dennis Smith Steve Atwater Karl Mecklenburg Gary Zimmerman Terrell Davis Shannon Sharpe Jason Elam

Mike Shanahan, who has also guided the team to their 2 Super Bowl wins, coaches the Broncos. The Denver football team is also known for their prolific running backs, including two who surpassed the 1,000 yard mark in the same season.

With another strong draft in 2006, the Denver Broncos should continue to experience success in the NFL for years to come. Cheered on by a fan base that is among the most loyal in all of football, this team has come to expect this success, year after year.
